European Youth Co-operation Center
(Europejskie Centrum Młodzieży) was established in 1995 by a group of young Polish people, students of Jagiellonian University, interested in promoting European Integration in Poland. At the very beginning we signed an agreement with the Governmental Department of Woman, Family and Youth Affairs. We take an active part in student's life at our university. All members of our association are working as volunteers. Our tasks and activities are:
- working for integration of the young generation in Europe,
- enabling young people to make new contacts and relations among organisations across Europe,
- initiating and backing youth activities,
- co-operating with European NGO's and youth organisations in the Third World Countries on education, environment, development, human rights and social issues,
- supporting and promote the idea of European Integration,
- contributing to international, national and local level of youth initiatives
- organising conferences, meetings, training courses and seminars on various subjects, mainly for students, but with participation of representatives from the world of politics, economy and culture
- long-term programs of co-operation with youth organisations from all over the Europe (for example: England, Ukraine, Germany, Portugal, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Italy, Malta, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway),
- organising training courses for youth leaders in the field of law, fundamental basics of bookkeeping, fund-rising, successful grant applications, group co-operation etc.
- publishing booklets and leaflets for students and youth volunteers,
- since 1996 we organise "Euroweek", which take place every two years in Cracow. It's the biggest continuously organised conference for students in Central Europe,
- promoting the city of Cracow and Malopolska region
- distribution of the international Youth Card Euro<26
